More later.... maybe ^_^ | | |
| So its been awhile since i last wrote, so after a night of the rats playing hard and keeping me up half the night, i decided to write a little bit, about the rats!
Nimbus- he is the bravest of the bunch, he will do ANYTHING for food and is constantly begging for more yoggies. He loves his little brother Gemini, and loves to annoy the others by constantly wanting to play. He is a cuddle bucket and loves to give kisses, his favorite game is to wrestle with my hand, though if i win he takes offence and screams and pouts when i try to cuddle with him or pick him up.
Willard- he is a bit shy and doesnt like strangers, but he loves his food and will put up with me to get it. not the most cuddly boy but yet so lovable ^_^
Bubba- he is the "momma" of the crew, constantly grooming and taking care of the rest of the guys. He also loves his food, what rat doesnt? but he also likes to be pet here and there, and will put up with a kiss for some food. muahaha, how i love bribery.
Gemini- the sweetest of the bunch, he LOVES to cuddle. if you gave him an option between food or cuddle, he would take the cuddle everytime. He will grab your hand and groom it, making sure you are nice and clean. he loves to be pet and smooched and will fall asleep. quite adorable.
so thats the crew, they are all awesome and sweet.

| So, we got at the airport around 10am and caught our first flight to Atlanta at 12:30 i think and then got to Atlanta, around 2:30, our flight to New Orleans was at 5:20 but got delayed first to 6, then to 7. we soon found out that someone on the last flight got sick and they had to replace some of the seats for sanitary reasons. we waited around the airport for hours on end, and finally got on the plane for the 30 min flight. once arriving in New orleans (to a very small and cozy airport) we went to the luggage claim and finally realized that Paul (my brother) didnt have his luggage! so we waited around for a few hours and they didnt find it, so we hopped in 4 cars (a few fans, and a jeep) and drove for about 2 hours. (our car ended up from being the second car, to thinking we were left behind and flooring it and being the first there, oops!) we got here and got settled in the church.
got up today at about 6:30 and had to clean out the sanctuary (where the guys were sleeping) and set it up for church. we met the people and greeted them talking to them for a few hours after church had ended, it was a cool expirience. We then pulled out a whiteboard and started to plan out what we were going to do, the guys went of in the cars to find out where we could help out, and the rest of us figured out what we could do around here. we got a scratchy plan together and tomorrow after we work for awhile, we will go out and get the stuff we need to reach out to the community. as of now, we are just chilling out and enjoying the day off. im enjoying using the computer, and i found a really cool bible at home (a student bible that was probably my brothers) and its got a translation in there, i love it! i can understand what its saying a bit more now.
well, there is a bit of a line for the comp so i will go now, if you want pictures, then go to the hsm site, im not sure what exactly it is, but im sure you could google it.
tata for now,
Laura

| oh boy, where to start! SO i dont know how many of you know i went on a cruise, if not- I went on a cruise! It was from New Orleans to Mexico and back.
So day one, we took two planes to get to New Orleans, and we got there around noon i think it was (we got up at 3am to catch the plane) and we borded the ship a few hours later. We first walked into an AMAZING room, i cant really describe it but i think i have pictures somewhere of it. we explored for awhile and got settled. eating lunch, taking a dip in the pool and then going up top around 4:30 to dis embark. the horn blew three times nice and loud and we were off! we stayed up till about midnight the first night, just having fun and exploring.
all through the week there were shows and lots of differant things to do, as well as ROOM SERVICE!! it was all included in the payment so it was free, as many times as you wanted it, and it was open 24 hours! out of the 5 days we were there, i think we got room service 18 times, hehe. the diner on top deck had food and beverages all day and you could get whatever your heart desired. for dinner we went into a totally differant diner on a differant floor (there were about 13 stories to this ship- one of the smaller ships of the fleet) and you got served of course, all those on board the ship as workers and servers were all foregn, not one american working there i dont think... no wait, i think the entertanment director was, but im not sure. So there were people from over 40 countries. dinner was always amazing and our servers were the best. we met a nice family that we ate dinner with every day and got to know, turns out the guy was from new orleans and told us everywhere that we should go.
So every other day or so the servers would sing a song, it was really amusing and fun to see. the first time they sang an italian song.... not one of the servers singing was italian, but it sounded great. then they sang, wont you be my girl and then the happy fathers day song, and of course a happy birthday here and there (one to my dad)
Mexico, wow, it was hot, but the water was so clear and blue! we got to costa maya around noon and we were there all day making deals and walking around shopping and stuff. making bargains was lots of fun! you pointed to something you wanted and asked how much, say... a handmade necklace.. they would say, $20 so you say, oh, nevermind thats too much, and start to walk away, then they make deals and you bargain and its a great experiance.
i have tons more to say, but since our flight home was delayed an hour, it is 3 am and i am dog tired! so i will continue in the morning.
